The structure of the association
The Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa is a multi-stakeholder initiative organized as a non-profit association. Solutions are developed in a participatory process and decisions are made by the members at the General Assembly.
The association Swiss Platform for Sustainable Cocoa was founded in January 2018. The members of the multi-stakeholder initiative are organized into five sectors, each representing a link in the cocoa value chain. The day-to-day business of the association is managed by the coordination office in Bern. The board, composed of an independent president and representatives of the member sectors, is entrusted with the strategic management of the association. Member events as well as national and European working groups enable an exchange of knowledge between members and external experts.
Members of the Cocoa Platform come together annually for the General Assembly. During the assembly, decisions are made, elections are held, and key players share their experience and inform on the latest findings on selected topics. The General Assembly is the perfect opportunity to network with the cocoa community.
